Surely if folks dont post their probs how will management know about them and see if they can do anything to resolve them,however they sound to others.

No worries Del. No need to apologise, On second read, I can also see how my post could be read differently to what i wanted to say.

I am using a tablet so a bit "economical" with wordage... Typing on a touchscreen is a bit of pain... :) (...and the site re-vamp definitely does not help there. This message editor is way worse...)

I had typed in a long reply with lots of comments and suggestions and it got wiped out and not in the mood to spend another 30 mins to type in again so just one comment right now ....

Speed:

Use your browser or an adblockerto block " http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/* " and you should find that the scrolling is greatly improved. Google Adsense has been installed and enabled in a fairly basic manner it seems and that is causing major speed issues (Adsense makes websites slow even at the best of times, but when the google servers are slow and/or busy it becomes just appalling)

Personally, I block Adsense whenever I find it on a website I frequent - and I also disable the Google 'autosearch' feature on the google.com Search where it tries to predict what you are searching for and makes you take 10 times longer typing in what you were REALLY searching for.

It's worse today than ever & frankly, I've got better things to do. It might be a bit Victor Meldrew but why do some people feel that they just cannot frigging leave well enough alone ?

The spec of my PC is not relevant. I use it perfectly successfully for accessing plenty of other websites and other forums and it was perfectly ok for accessing the TOC last week.

Anyone who thinks they are making advances and progression by introducing the use of Flash on a FORUM is an idiot TBH.

Listen folks,my pc is at least 5 years old,(monitor maybe 10 )

A hand me down from brother in law , who runs pcworld in colchester.

I rarely update anything,apart from those auto prompted updates i get on screen.

So if anything is slower on this www,global internetty thingy..its mine :P but i get by with it....and its all i intend to do.

I do own a smart phone,nokia c7,thats just as bad....but ...i....get......by.

I save me money for far more important things.....like more walking boots

And apart from the Speed issues (which I have mostly fixed by blocking the invasive Adsense ads from google), the layout is still pants with all the wasted screen space to the right.
