only 128bhp, why do they bother even making a deal of it?

(you get a Fiat 500/Abarth with 140, 160,180 bhp.

As to the Yaris, a Skoda Fabia/A1/Ibiza/Polo has 180bhp from a 1.4 twin charger and they are plentyful,

they go and stop just fine, are fun to drive and has more room or more comfort.

They always show these tuned iQ's and that same look has been on the go for 4 years now,

but really they are not relevant for the road.

(UK roads)

For the track, more is not always better, if it results in just wheel spin, unless you want to Drift, which is not easy with a 2000mm wheelbase, even less with fwd)

Not that that is going to be any great worry with the 128bhp 'limited edition'

30 mph is the same speed in a 78 bhp car as in a 178 bhp car.

so is 60 mph & 70 mph

Getting to 30mph in 1 second or 6 seconds is neither here or there.

what will you do with those 5 seconds you gained.

You can not get to 0-70mph in 3 seconds if the Yaris in front in only doing 56mph.

I think I read somewhere that these will only be in Europe and not coming into the UK. :( Not that I'd buy one anyway.

If I were to change it would currently be for a newer (post July 2010) iQ2.

I agree with s44gtw, when I was going through my mid-life crisis, I bought a Subaru Impreza WRX, sold it after six weeks. Those extra seconds gained to 60mph cost me dearly in depreciation when I came to sell it.

As much as I might be tempted, I guess the chances of getting on the list of 100 to buy one are zero, and also the prices will be far too high, like those modified ones at £19,995

All the cars listed above with more power (exception being the FIAT) are in excess of 1000kgs so I bet still have a similar power to weight ratio.

The increased power will make overtaking quicker and to a degree safer...and still within the national speed limit.
