My 1995 Toyota Tercel

I didn't see a section for Tercel's (probably because it's not one of toyota's choicest models) but I'm hoping that maybe some members of this forum could help me.

I recently purchased a 1995 Toyota Tercel with 189, 500 miles on it. It's the non-luxury model with a 4xspeed transmission. Great condition and anything, but I recently discovered that when I am accelerating (anywhere, but usually up a hill) it will hesistate on me. Meaning the engine will quit for a second, then start back up again. I think that it may be a fuel injector problem (although I don't even know if this car has a fuel injector or not). Sometimes it will do this once, and then a minute later it will do it again or it won't do it at all. I was wondering if anybody had had this type of problem before or knew what was causing it? and what I could do to fix it? Thanks for the help ---Mr. Delicious
