Hoovies 'pimp My Rav' - T P M S

Managed to get round to one of the first Pimps I wanted to do again soon as I got the new SR - get a TPMS system installed as I think a GOOD TPMS system is both a great safety aid and is very likely to also pay for itself in better tyre management when the information is heeded.

I had it fitted to a set of Winter Wheels & Tyres that I won on eBay last week and will also be getting the same system fitted to the existing 'Summer' wheels (that way all the wiring will be ready and in place)

Was not right you not having the creditations you had earned.

Cheers Del. Problem was just Steve is on his own currently AFAIK in terms of ability to do Admin stuff and wasn't able to get my account sorted until today, but everything reset now and I've done all my account updates so good from now on

Not wishing to appear totally Blond, why did you post the TPMS on Rav4World, was it due to the problems you have been having on TOC

Regards Clare

When I am using the Netbook screen I find the editing space very small due to that right hand grey area (and a couple of times also lost about half an hour of typing which is a bit frustrating so posted on RAV4World instead ( and I did buy the TPMS in the USA after all :) )

Dave, can I suggest that you post this under it's own heading ,with the linky,so it would be easy to find if anyone wanted to refer to it in the future?

Whats the size of the TPMS unit?Is there anywhere else I could put it in the cabin? Could I run a cable from the socket in the center console to the unit and run it from that?

The Display is 3.5" wide by 2" high and about 0.5" deep. You could put the unit anywhere you like :)

On the RAV4.2, I fitted this to a mount on the Ashtray which was a handy position in that cabin. In the 4.3, I played around with possible positions and the one I used was best for me. Chris (Three5) is thinking of mounting his on the door mirror internal trim which looks a good option as well.
