Bulb Failure / Canbus System

Hi all,

Being fairly new to all of this I am looking for some help. I have just purchased a 1998 Celica 2.0 GT and I am looking at LED replacement side light bulbs and number plate lights. I'm a bit of a gadget freak and I much prefer the look of a crisp white light than a dull yellow one!

Can anyone please tell me if the 1998 Celica has a Bulb Failure or CANBUS system? It would appear that if it has I need to purchase the LED bulbs with resistors.

Dunno if this helps but my 94 Import GT4 pings up a dash light if a rear light bulbs is out. So i'd expect your 98 GT to be the same.

Thanks for the info. I guess the only way to find out is to remove a bulb and see what happens.

The supplier are sending me the LED bulbs with the resistors just in case and I guess I can take them out if I don't need them.
