To Update Or Not To Update?

Hi all

I have a 2005 (54 reg) Avensis T-Spirit with the colour sat nav. Now, I have recently started a new job which will see me depend on the sat nav more and more. The current version does not allow me to input postcodes (and sometimes thats all I have), and before I go and splash the £115+ on the updated DVD, I wondered if anyone knew whether or not the new one would accept postcodes? I have emailed the Toyota map update website, but its been over a week and still no reply!

The problem will not be with the latest disc but the driver software installed in the unit. If it cannot use postcodes then it will not do so with an updated disc which will only have the latest road and building inro.
