That's interesting. They sell the blanking shims I was on about to block off the EGR. On another note I was talking to a colleague who runs a LR disco on a 57 plate. He says that it has to go in to have 2 - not 1 but 2 EGRs renewed that have started sticking. They are £150 each plus £100 fitting so £500 in all.

LR put it down to supermarket fuel.

Carburettor cleaner does the trick

Don't leave an EGR to soak in either.
