Advice Please, Dropped Coin Problem

Hi, I am new to this, and my first post. Hello to everyone.

I have dropped a coin down the crevice were the handbrake is.

Using a small torch, I can see it near some plastic electric connection, but cannot reach it without taking

a lot of trim away , and the car is only a month old.

Is it worth risking messing with the trim and potential to break it, or will it be ok just to leave it were it is.

Will it cause any damage to the gear shift or handbrake?

Thanks

Hi Jedi,

pound coin, not bothered about that, just don't want it to cause problem.

I think this must happen a lot, say if you have kids, poking things down there?

I`d be sending out the rescue team to retreve that pound......

what about what Black Angel LOL!!!!!!!! said but not magnetic but with a type of claw on the end...........

As for damaging anything im not too sure you will have tto wait untill someone else comes on, Maybe Glowing Red Disc man will be on later to advise

Hi Jedi,

tried that too, just not large enough to grasp it and it is semi hiding behind the plastic connection, laughing at me!

If you just damp your fingers (to make them slightly tacky) then put them inside that little phone holder by the mirror switch and PULL reall hard, that box will pop out. You can then get your hand in.

And if you can get it in there, have a go at the sofa after

What!! - he dropped a pound down the wee slot beside the handbrake - that'll double the value of the car in an instant or at least reduce the depreciation by a helluva lot.

Drop a few Smarties in as well then ask two year old they'll sonn find a way.

Here we are living in a recession and someone got money to throw around. He may be a banker for all we know.

5 will get ye 10 that it is now sitting on its edge, so that it causes a wee annoying "dink" every time you turn a corner, left or right....?
