1Kr-Fe Engine Dimensions

Hi guys I am new to this forum..

My real passion lies in restoring old classic mini's. I am currently restoring one and hope to fit the toyota 1kr-fe engine into the mini.

Before i bite the bullet and get one does anyone know the exact dimensions of the engine ie. height, width etc. I have searched the net for hours to no success..

any help much appreciated.

Hi,

Toyota only published the weights (65kg) & the bore & stroke, not the overall engine dims.

The height is the likely problem, but you can probably work around it if it's angle in the sub frame. I suggest contacting the seller & asking them to measure it up for you.

Also, good luck with the electrics. Sure you don't want to use an old skool carb engine instead?

I suggest hunting down a good turbo kei car engine & going from there. All the best
