Oil Level And Charging Signs Are Lighting. What's The Problem?

Hi everyone!

First of all, i'm newie here, and my english knowledge is not the best, so please forgive me.

My problem is, on idle power, the computer lights up the oil level and the charging error lights. On 1200-1400 rpm, the signs disappear. The oil level is OK in one side of the dipstick, but the other side shows lower oil level. The oil changed before 400 kms. We filled some new oil in it, about 0,7 l, but the problem still occures.

You have to know, i pull down the EGR valve cables, just for a probe, and then (about 1 km) the problem appeared. After it, i put it back, but the problem didn't disappeared. I tried to pull down the Battery cables for some min, maybe the computer forgot the error, but it isn't work.

What should i do? I dare to use the car in this status.

I don't know, what type of diagnostics system has my car have. Is it OBD2? Should i try to get an OBD2-usb cable, to see what is the problem?

My car is an Avensis, 2.0 D4-D, from 2001. Motor code: 2CD-FTV.

Thanks

David

I found an OBD2 connector in my car.

Something like this.

And i found a diagnostic cable on eBay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-V1-4-ELM327-EOBD-II-OBD2-CAN-Scan-Tool-Interface-/320677912346?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4aa9e49f1a

But my car is not in the list. So what should i do?? Is that cable good for me?

Please help, it is urgent!
