Cruise control?

Yep ... that's the best... it has 3 settings... that can be manually put on a certain speed... Mine is 1: 50 Km/H, 2: 100 Km/H and 3: 120 Km/H... But can be changes to any speed.

Yust drive 66 miles/hour and press the CC until a beep goes of... Thats it..

Use it all the time...

Downside is... taht it is mounted left and down of the steeringwheel... a little hard to grap... It is an aftermarket thing... and not a standard thing...

Peter..

Nice to see the iQ trying it on with the Mini. Of course, when Tarquin has his Supercharger fitted, that Mini would have no chance... right? Also, in the video as pointed out by Tarquin again, Peter's Lady Ga-Ga along with loads of other iQ's. Two of them the same colour as mine. Good job I was sitting down. I've got to say, I have grown to like the colour of my iQ. I still like the white but, 'out ere in the cantry, you'd be cleaning er all the time. Ah!'

The video seems to end before showing any other cars.

Strange, as with viewing a youtube clip, it runs, finishes and gives you the option to play it again or play some other related clips of which one of them is 2 white iQ's . Can anyone else see it?

Cheers Marc and Peter. So Peter where did you fit the stalk then

David

Hai David,

The dealer did it.. . it was an option I choosed when I bought the car... The workman had a lot of trouble with it, I remember... I saw the car all open (a lot of dangling bits and wire under the steeringwheel), and he mumbelled that he had to order an other one... He had the wrong one (?)... anyways they put it in...

To my feeling I think it could have been put way more upwards.. Not sure if that is possible... I also think he had to drill a hole where it had to be put...

And I had to go back once.. because the housing was going loose (nuts and bolts)...

Thanks Peter

I am not sure I can be bothered looking for all the connection points and not really sure I can think of a location i would like it fitted. Also Holland is reasonably flat I can see I would have to assist it by switching to S mode now and again.

Correct David,

If I go on a "up-hill"... in Holland thats a road cross-over (ha ha)... Then.. if I do nothing .. it will decrease in speed until the accelerator kicks in an jumps up the speed...

Better in such circumstances is indeed to put it in S... The CC keeps working whatever position of the CVT gearstick...

By the way.. I use the S a lot... seems that in the city with speeds limits (we have many many many road camera's that take nice pictures of your car)... the engine will do about 1100 to 1200 RPM's ... feels very very slow... like every cylinder-stroke is felt during every meter on the road..

All to do with MPG and stuff.. but rides strangely..

I have tried to put the ECO message on the dash in the OFF position.. no difference at all. What is it for???? Just to warn me that I am not driving economically.. (I know that!)... what's the point..??

Hi Peter

I have switched off the ECO button too, but all it seems to do, is to put the ECO light and meter off.

My original post seems to have gone off subject now.

Regards

Marc

Don't worry. I must admit! I would like cruise control myself as I have it on my Nissan Navara. That has leather heated seats and it's a shame the iQ doesn't have that.

I made a boo boo when fitting my leather seats. Part of the installation is to glue the covers on to the existing ones. which in themselves are very thin and glued to the hard foam moulding. I could of if I had thought about it fitted heating elements then. I think trying to do it now would ruin the leather.

Does anyone know if heated seats is a MR T option
