Right I know every1 has done it b4. Bought something embarressing and carried out some right dodgy mods which you thought were cool at the time.

Now is your chance to confess! Trust me youll feel better. Carlgolsby has already confessed to owning a black XR3i (3 hail marys!). K beat this spec on my first ever car(twas free) when i was 16 :

Fiat uno 1.0 4dr in sky blue*cough*

fake exhaust tip that fooled all me m8s (for that 'dont %$( with me im tuned up' look.it actually produced a note lol!)

14"hubcaps nicked off an astra by yours truly squeezed onto the mighty 13" making them look both low profile and larger..ahem

Rear lights+front indicators sprayed with cheapo tint spray to create that 'turbo' look

Cheapo tint spray for rear side windows and just black film for rear window(ran outta spray) to create that 'gansta' image

cringing yet? it gets better!

Sourced some large mudflaps so the car would look lower at the back(dont ask)and tires would look wider

And the masterstroke ...a HOOOJ BIG blue sunstrip with FIAT wrtten on it in case any1 forgot what it was(also necesarry to create that 'racing' image)

Thankfully it was scrapped shortly after it died in my drive(more like it commited suicide). I live everyday in shame knowing I was responsible for such an unholy creation.

So what dodgy motors did u all have b4 you seen the light and were saved by Mr Toyota?

erm...........believe it or not. i only thing i feel embarressed about is not being able to get over speed bumps when needed! but it makes up for it by the handling!! :D

when i was driving my mum's car, i did the odd alloys and subs etc. but cant really say i'm embarressed about it, cos i liked it.

and now i've got my first car, i quite like it the way it is! its not to everyone's taste, but i didnt mod my car for others liking, so :P

so i think i'm quite safe to say i've got no embarressing things to confess! :D:D:D

:o I haven't mentioned my Y reg Metro 1.0HLE with dubious wheel trims and the word METRO in massive letters across the back screen and four 'Saisho' parcel shelf speakers! (which was my first car) or my MG Metro 1300! with plenty of rust.

All these cars I had before I was 21 :P

What was I thinking?

I can beat all of you.

I had a 1978 vauxhall Hatchback chevette. This was a 1256 litre engine. It had a re spray to flame red. It had white strips down the window and along side the body work.

To some in up it looked like starsky and hutchs car. I have a over sized chrome tail pipe on the back as well.

At the time i thought that it was the dogs small bits. Do I get forgiveness?

Jerry :P

I have sinned twice

My first car was a Escort mark II with Peco Exhaust and Chrome 8 Spokes.. black out rear lights, bucket seats, CB radio! ;) (10 10 ears on good buddy)

And and also had spolights all ove rthe front bumper!

and one was a clapped out old astra van... padded inside out... i put rear seats in the back by cutting the floor out with a hammer and chisel!... as the van was built the same as the Estate it had a huge gap under the flooring! (i still have the bit of flooring after many years in my back garden!)

green carpet on the floor and up the walls... blacked out back window!

The headlights fell out and rolled down the road and a car went over them!

What a mess of a vehicle!

I had a mark 2 fezz 1.1 which got the sunstrip 14" alloys and dropped 40mm before i passed my test i like the car then didn't go very fast but was like a go cart on the corners the suspension was so hard!! teehee:D

The worst was yet to come Fiat Cinquecento sporting this i had for 2 1/2 years it was cool except the usual Fiat reliability looked pretty standard from the out side alloys, lowered, meshed front bumper and tinted windows.

Under the bonnet was the 1.4 turbo out the gt punto was a b***h to fit took me and my bro a month of night and weekends but the car couldn't handle it it fell apart literally then the engine went on it so i turned to the jap side :D:D

Erm don't know if this counts....

20 year old FIAT 121 Super Mirafiori, broken auto choke so rev's permanently on max = auto accelerate, bye brakes and transmission.....

Great for off the lights, let go of the brakes and away you go, surprised so many peeps with the speed of that shed :) I'm sure the rust made it go faster by making it lighter

A 20 year old rusty fiat with permanent max revs??...Your daaamn right that counts!

Super Mirafiori?...you know the name actually makes it sound like its quite a fast car:D

It was a fast'ish car, well at the top end, had it upto 121mph on a flat which I didn't think was too bad for such an old car.

The Super Mirafiori was based on the Rally Car Fiat used to dominate with in the 70's & early 80's, 6 championships if I remember rightly....

Specs for this car were 0-60=8.4

Top Speed = 111mph (had it faster :) )

I did love driving that car and would have another one just for the fun factor although I would go for the full Rally Version which is ridiculously fast, will post some info if I find it...

The auto-choke did have to be fixed as the brakes were being eaten and as they didn't/don't make the drums any more for the rear I didn't want to eat them too much as well as the clutch etc etc...
