Do you think your New Corolla is noisy inside (rattles from dash, squeaks from seat etc) and your engine is noisy.

My 1997 e10 has loads of rattles.

My seats - intend to remove these and chuck as much grease at them as possible.

Tailgate - soon to be sound proofed, rattles continously.

Outside noise - Seem to be able to hear almost like when a window is open whilst driving. Surprised at this with the general good build quality.

Tickover - With K&N you get a loud sucking noise coming from the throttle body which is very annoying starting the car late at night and early mornings

Don't get me wrong I love my corolla, once I get all the problems sorted I'll be very happy :)

It's a whole lot noiser than my LS400, but then again, the Corolla wasn't built to be an ultra quiet car. I noticed it is quieter at the gas station, not much yelling over the cost to fill it up.

Yes, it is noisy at ~150 kmh, not as much the engine (which is desirable since it sounds very nice) as wind noise...

rattles are gone except with sharp bumps (where they digged for ducts under the road but haven't yet put any asphalt in the hole...
