Advice Please

Hi Guys, advice please.

2006 Rav4 petrol auto XT4, full leather etc 35000 miles £10995

What sort of mileage per gallon would I get out of that, knowing that I might part/x my Cooper S in for it ( and that only does 30 mpg).

The Rav is immaculate both inside and out and is Royal Blue.

Worth a punt?

Regards Clare

Cannae really see ye getting any more than the Cooper, Clare, especially on The Island where you really aren't getting much "cruise speed" out of any vehicle to aid mpg. I stand to be concepted though....itsa fair lump of vehicle for the two litre petrol to pull aboot....? But if yer wee heart is set on it, I would have it before a mini anytime.

Big Kev

I think the 2.0 Petrol RAV4.3 has the same engine as the RAV4.2 Petrol? If so, and with I presume short journeys and lots of hills, you would be hard pushed to achieve 25mpg I would say!

Being an Auto would be nice on the IOM though I reckon.

Go for it!!!

Clare. What is the age condition and mileage of the Cooper ?

11K Is quite a price tag for 2006 petrol Rav4 even accepting IOM pricing

One way to get a true valuation on that Rav is to phone a Toyota Dealer and show an interest in a car and ask for a PX ballpark valuation ON THAT 2006 Rav..

Be sat down though...

It depends on the price to change really.

Please do not be influenced by seasonal valuations on these cars because according to the Dealer I spoke to the weekend the Ravs lost a bomb in January's book figures because of the very mild winter..

If we are going to break this down to the best way to deal, sell the Mini private in the summer and buy a RAV in the summer as a no PX buyer.

The RAV's are overpriced at this time of year but when you look at the A-Trader link its the going rate and you can only buy whats for sale at the time.

Any deal involving a PX is never the best but typically involves the least hassle, depends how you want to do it.

Your mini sounds great Clare and i would imagine good fun to drive on the IOM, unless you need the extra space, 4x4, or simply want a rav, why change? I love minis because every time i see one theres a pretty young lady driving it, but obviously if you want a change, then go with your heart, and best wishes whatever you do, you know your our TOP girl on here whatever you drive, so long as its not a Landrover :yucky: Stew

Stew, I was loaned a iQ3 yesterday, what a lovely little car. My Mum has a Smart and she actually liked it better than ( the iQ) than her Smart. No I worked out the pro,s and cons of the Rav and realised I would not be any better off. Will keep looking
