Ecu And Alternator Problem

Hi

I have a 55 2.2 4d4 avensis done 100 000 miles, that approx 3000 miles ago had its engine replaced due to head gasket problems. On Tuesday morning when I came to start the car all the warning lights were on and the car did not start. Got it to my local Toyota dealer and they have diagnosed the following

ECU

alternator

Fuel filter blocked are this changed cleaned at the service? I only use Shell V power fuel have done since I bought the car at 60000 miles

Battery needs changing, Its the original so 5 years old and I would expect that.

So far this is going to cost £1400. and hopefully this will solve the problem.

What I would like to know iIs the ECU and alternator failing due to the new engine and can try and get Toyota to pay or am I just unlucky and be a lot poorer?

Thanks

Nell

Take it back to the dealership, and tell them to stop pulling your pants down, accompanied by a few pirate sounds.........and get it sorted......free of charge...and tell them you want a free tank of diesel too.

Yer harr! The lone rangers! Are back.

Or it could just be a faulty Battery

Now that I have it back I have contacted Toyota Head Office and am awaiting a response from them.
