Wife had brought some Car Plan deicer for her car,!Removed! useless, froze on the screen yesterday, soon sorted it out with tepid water, but you got tto be quick getting the wipers on before the water freezes again.

Not as cold this morning, outside temp here -3c.

Freezer is -18c.

Managed to split my offside wiper blade yesterday morning, there was about an inch of snow on the screen, so i engaged the wiper motor and at first it did not move cos it was probably frozen to the screen, but before i could switch the wiper off it suddenly sprung into life, it cleared the top layer of snow off only to reveal a load of bumpy ice, so i stopped the wipers, got out, lifted the wiper arm so as i could start scraping the ice off, only to see that the wiper blade had split, not best pleased as you can imagine, i seem to remember someone saying on the Auris Forum that those wiper blades including the arm cost around £65 :crybaby:

You see plenty of people who have turned on their wipers when they are frozen to the screen (done it myself and the wiper arm moves on the spindle then the blades look like they are having a sword fight.cos they are out of sync.

The tears are jist rolling down my face reading about Englanders having to put up with temperatures lower than 10C. So much so that I had to go and put the burgers onto my BarbyQ whilst it was still warm and sunny. Global warming ? Bring it on !
