Rear Wiper Arm Won't Lift Up

Hi

The rear wiper arm on my Avensis won't lift up to allow me to change the blade. Is there a secret to it? It seems to be locked and only lifts about 5mm off the screen? Is it faulty or are they all like that?

Not faulty, Neil. If it's like the one on the RAV4, look at the U-shaped plastic cover at the end. Gently pry the edges apart and the cover will hinge up. Then the arm can be lifted fully and locked.
