Celica 190 Engine Not Reaching Temperature

Hello all,

Wondering if anyone has any idea's as to why the engine in my 190 isn't reaching temperate?

Even on a run the temp gauge only reaches one level above cold and stays there. Coolant is at normal level but the hoses don't seem to be getting to the temperature they noramlly do.

Could it possibly be the thermostat is stuck fully open and letting too much coolant round the engine keeping it cold?

Any suggetsions would be great.

Thanks

Mark

Wotcha Mark,I would go with your reasoning,as you say an open thermostat would let the water to flow unhindered and would never warm up in these temperatures we have just now.
