Perhaps a one off as it appears not to have cropped up before.

I have the 1.33 Auris and drive gently but also do extend the revs right up to the red line on rare occasions and I do this deliberately (only when fully hot... as I do believe it helps break any oil glaze etc).

A one off I think. Perhaps there was some misalignment in the pulleys but who knows.
