YARIS 1.8!

just discovered your cool forum.

I am interested in swap (i have 1.0) thinking of 1.5 from the TS version but I 've read today that its possible to fit 1.8 http://www.activatech.co.uk/index.htm (under engeenering). Do you know anybody who has done any of such swaps??

if so pls give me more details and (especially costs :-)

p.s.how much is new TS in Uk?

i know i have seen that site and refer to other garages about this piece of information!!

the 1.8 engine is off the new shape celica, and as you can see, the bonnet of the celica is like twice the size of yaris.

the local garage said that alot of work needs to be done like pulling out existing engine, scraping the sides to make room and change various pipe and things etc so you are looking at something like £3500 for celica engine, and an extra £3000 for labour and various parts you need to buy to make celica engine works with a little yaris!!

if you are still thinking of having it done then fair play to you!!

your will have the fastest road yaris on earth!!!
