I've posted up my experience fitting LEDs (see changing fuse thread). I also blew a fuse because, according to the Auto Spark who fixed it for me, the light switches must be in the 'off' position before you remove or fit a bulb. The LEDs (all 3 of them) now work after the fuse was replaced (junction box is in a very inaccessible place beneath steering column). Just hope they last. Incidentally, what size of bulb did you buy? I went for a 42cm which is actually too big for the bulb holder but I managed (just) to squeeze it in. I'd like to know the precise size in case I need to reorder.

The LEDs are an excellent replacment to the pathetic standard Toyota bulbs - as my reading sight deteroriates I could hardly see even with the 2 map reading lights on. I'd like to change the 2 in the rear but apprehensive about blowing another fuse!

36mm bulbs too small for mine (2007 model).

If light switch was off then it worries me that even touching the electrical fittings in the car may result in a blown fuse! Will AA/RAC etc agree to a call out for a blown fuse I wonder?
