Hi my name is John and a newbie on here, wonder if anyone can help me on this subject

I have a 2.0 litre carina cdx petrol iam averaging at 23 miles per gallon bit more on a run

is this about right or do i have problems engine running really good and serviced regular

That's not too good.

I had a 2.0 GLi est and I'm sure I used to get about 32 Mpg. I used to do a 45 round trip to work everyday on Dual Carriageway. On good runs ie 100 miles plus I used to get about 35-38mpg if taking it steady

thanks for the info celica thought it wasnt doing to well but ,cant really work out why

I service it my self every 6000 mileS I know its an old car but 98000 miles just may be

tired not going to part with it though like it to much . cheers again anyway mate

Mine had 176k on the clock when I sold it, I took it down the strip at Santa Pod when it was 150k something.

I only sold it as I did not need 2 big est cars.
