On my 2008 1.6 Auris TR have noticed that there is about 10mm of water sitting at the bottom of the rear nearside Light cluster assy, accompanied by condensation on the inside of the perspex, cant see anything obvious that would have caused this, anyone else had this problem or any ideas.

I have got exactly the same problem, going to strip the rear bumper and headlights out in the summer and seal up any obvious areas where water can get in.

I keep a spare top in my boot in the spare wheel should I need to change a tyre in rainy weather and that was soaking like somebody has had it dipped in water. Need to get to the route cause of this!!!

Seems to be a common design flaw, no manufacturer is perfect if your upset with Toyota try another make you will soon realise they are still ahead of others in terms of reliability. Any car which is mass produced will have lemons and unfortunatley there seem to be a fair few :(

Helpful instruction on light cluster removal by Stu_Cole @

On Auris Hybrid 2011 you need to remove 2 10mm nuts and press in wings on 2 blue lugs.  Upper nut partly hidden by white harness clip sleeved over stud - pull away.  Harness feed plug to unit is more easily removed after cluster unit eased away from body.  Wings on lugs pressed in with ring spanner or small socket.  No need to remove bulbs or rubber bungs in order to remove cluster.
