I have a 2004 Corolla t sport and when the car is idling a vibration can be felt through the steering wheel. I can also hear a faint noise almost like a bearing or something. But again only on idle! The car has had a new short motor from Toyota fitted by myself so I'm almost certain it's not the engine. I've loosend all engine mounts and subframe etc and retightened and test but it's Still the same! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

is short motor= starter motor?

if so, did you replace the auxilary belt when you changed it? it maybe the belt might be a fraction loose/ stretched or that one of the pulleys/rollers is on its way out or the bearings are knackered, when the car is idling and you pop the bonnet can you not narrow the location down?

No the engine block it was I changed. Vibrations still there when the belt is removed so it's not a pulley or anything. Just realised I've posted in the wrong section too fs lol
