Dear All,

I wonder if anyone can help.

Garage has advised me that my 2006 2.2 D4D Avensis needs new pads and discs front and rear.

I have changed both before and am reasonably DIY competent, but does anyone have any details or a section from a repair manual they would kindly share. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Does having ABS confuse the procedure at all?

Also, I would like to change the brake fluid, again any information/procedure would be a massive help.

Thanks.

Hi mate, all you need to know is in this .pdf file.

Please be aware when ordering parts the 2.2 d4d has different size discs and pads than the 2.0d4d, a few people have come unstuck with the wrong disc size even suppliers get it wrong.

Regards Pete

it's a good time to improve your braking performance by not using oem parts (will also save you a few £££s).

Quite a few of us are running MTEC discs in my case with Ferodo Premium pads but others are using Mintex.
