hi guys

i have just bought a blank key and remote case from eBay , not original toyota , and my local shop cut it to match my black 2 button remote key so question is the car will turn over but not start , do i need a special code or can i diy it so i can fit the inners from the remote in the new casing, original is broken and being held by tape

any help would be appreciated

It sounds like you need to remove the immobilizer chip from the old key and install it into the new key. The immobilizer disables the fuel pump and ignition systems if the chip is not detected.
