Thinking Of Buying 07 Avensis

i,m going to look at a 2007 1.8 t3x avensis tomorrow was looking for some advice on what to look for I.E general faults or possible signs of further problems i,m looking to buy from a local dealer {charles hurst used direct} many thanks

Apart from the usual with any car...there are only minor things I think

Also on a car of that age I assume you will be getting 1 yr of warranty

Look for fsh and check which service is next (big cost difference between minor and major+) I always try and get a service included - also worth checking tyre wear as they can often be persuaded to put some new boots on.

Some people seem to suffer a lot with tone chips on bonnet so worth a check

There can be quite a few rattles and road noise so check you are happy with it on a bumpy drive

Brake feel is not always the best compared to other cars - check disc/pad life

Water entering front and rear lights appears as mist etc.

On that age the oil consumption issues are all fixed so it will only be minor stuff.

I've had a dealer supplied Tx3 petrol since 2009, 18 months old with just 5.7k on the clock. Never missed a beat and serviced by Mr T. Only real gripe is soft brake pedal-prefer firm pedal.
