Easy Ways To Feed Wire Through Avensis Bulkhead

Hi All - does anyone have any tips on feeding a wire through the bulkhead on my 56 reg Avensis Tourer? The only existing grommet I have found is on the passenger side where the main loom passes through. I have poked a wire through but it doesn't seem to appear on the inside of the car (having removed the glove box for access). I think there might be a void between the engine bay and inner bulkhead. Is there an easier place to pass it through?

On my Auris the large grommet that fits in the bulkhead carrying the wiring looms to behind the dash has what i describe as a nipple sticking out for adding additional wires when fitting accessories.you have to look close to see it.to use you just cut the end off te nipple to fit cable. then seal the new cable to the grommet nipple with insulation tape.i hink that you will have the same thing on your car.
