Speedo in KPH

Can anyone tell me the requirement for speedos in the UK. Is it legal, MOT, to keep it in KPH only. There is no dual MPH setting.

I know you can convert them but don't want to.

If it is legal I have a delimiter / convertor and a 180 mph speedo face to suit an ST202 or ST205 for sale.

Oh, and do I need GB stickers on the car to drive in the Republic of Ireland?

It is legal to have km/h on your speedo, mine's been in the UK since 1991 and has gone through all it's MOTs fine.
