Water In Headlights, Can Anyone Help ?

Hi guys, hoping someone may be able to help with my woes.

My Gen 7 headlights have become victim to water in the headlight unit on the drivers side, i say water because there seems to be more water in there than just through evaporation, more like its been held under a tap.

All the seals on the unit seem fine and the seals around the bulbs are intact and fitted correctly so i cant understand how it got there as its never shown signs of it before.

..........cheers for reading.

You must either have a hole in the plastic, or there is a split in the seal. Have you completely removed the headlight to check?

Is your big rubber cover at the back of the headlight unit properly in place?

If the water is really bad you are going to have to remove the unit and dry it out.

checked the unit and no signs of holes or cracks, all rubbers are in place, not taken the whole unit out yet.

I had a good look again today and iv noticed a short elbowed hose about 30cm long coming off the unit with no wires just foam inside it. it looks like a breathing vent, and im wondering if some water that was in the engine bay from the leaking hose on the cooling system has evaporated into to it. ???
