Im wanting to put new brighter bulbs in my Auris T180, im confused as to which bulb to use, is HB3 the same as H3 or is there a difference. I would like to put an HID kit in but im led to believe they are goin to become an MOT failure in july this year?

I was disappointed with my SR's dipped beam headlight performance, so bought & fitted a set of Osram Nightbreakers. I also adjusted the height of the beam by about 1/2 a turn. This was just before the MOT & they passed easily. Although they are an improvement on the stock bulbs, they have been outperformed in a 'Which' magazine test by Philips ExtremeVision bulbs. The downside with them is the price - very expensive, so Im happy to stick with the Nightbreaker Plus items (£15 a pair on flea bay !).
