Prius G2 One Low Beam Headlight Not Working?

Have a problem with one of the low beam headlight in my G2 57 plate Prius T4

on the passanger side the low beam is not working, high beam and daylight are working fine

If I am right high beam is using the same bulb as the long headlights and they are fine on both

sides ? So should I assume the bulb is ok? I think it might be one of those discarge bulbs,

so maybe it has just lost the low beam mode?

Have checked the fuses but they also look ok, any ideas or anyone had simular problems?

I guess I will try another bulb first but please let me know if there might be other known problem?

Researching I read there ware reacalls for headlight problems with Prius in USA but coudn't

find any simular about UK problems?

I'm not aware of any problems. I think the USA class action and recalls concerned HID headlights. and as far as I know we halogen bulbs.

IIRC the Gen 2 has a dual filament Halogen bulb (H4 I think) for Dip and Main beams, so although it is the same bulb, it is a different filament, so basically the bulb has gone.

Coincidently one of my dipped beam bulbs went last night, they are separate bulbs on the gen 3 (H11 for dip) but they are more expensive than the dual filaments fitted to the Gen 2.
