Have also posted on the hybrid forum, but ive noticed a noise on my auris hybrid and its coming form near or around the drivers door, its like a soft rubbery shuffle noise when going at lower speeds on rougher roads, its like the doors moving aroung in the frame and rubbers but seems so solid when pulled pushed and looked at.

have tryed lubing the rubbers with vaseline but still noise persists,

wondered if any other auris owners had a similar shuffle noise as apart fom the hybrid part there the same car i think.

thanks

i think it may just be the door card padding rubbing, i sometimes have the same noise on mine.

if you push in and out in the top right hand corner of the door card, just below the glass, and near the b pillar you may hear the same noise ?

Please don't use Vaseline on door seal rubber. It's petroleum based (as in "petroleum jelly") which is not too kind to rubber. Use a silicone based lubricant instead.

Silicone is great for door seals stops any freezing up. but beware that it can leave marks on clothing if they are rubbed against the seal which is easy done.

The ladies dont like these marks on their clothing.

I didnt really think to much about that, thought it would be ok,luckily i didnt go mad with it and have now gone over it with autoglym plastic and rubbers care product which says its escpecially for seals and the like, hopefully no permanent damage done.
