Help Needed With Nilfisk Pressure Washer Please.

Hi, I hope somebody can give some advice as I'm struggling with no proper instructions with my new Nilfisk C110 PW.

I've never used a PW before and I don't really know how to get started, apart from having put it together.

There are two nozzles - 1 is a 'tornedo' (this is short) and the other is described as a 'powerspeed' nozzle and is longer than the other one. The manual I downloaded doesn't give a clue as to which should be used for what.

There is a detergent bottle but nothing to say if the shampoo should be diluted, and if so, by what ratio.

There is a CD that came with the PW but I can't get it to work in my PC (described as being Only for PC Use) - it's compatible with Windows 98 and I use XP.

I'd be so grateful for any help please.

TIA

I have a Nilfisk C110 that I use to was my car... The nozzel that has something lose at the end of it (Hard to describe) is to be used for cleaning brick work and patio's! So dont use that for the car as it could take your paint off! The bottle can be filled half way with neat car was and it mixes it with water...

That's a great help - thank you!

The long nozzle rattles when I shake it so that must be the one for brickwork then - and the small one for the car.

I presume I can use any decent brand of car wash shampoo? Oh, and do I turn the cold water tap on as far as it will go?

I'm getting nervous now about using this thing - it'll probably give my neighbours a laugh though

Yep... The long one that rattles is for brickwork... small one for the car. I buy a 20ltr tub of Turtlewax car wash from Costco that cost about £15! if I remember correctly as I've not bought any for at least 7 years as it last that long. Just turn the cold water tap full on and you're away...

I use a Snowfoam lance for my car! great results... If you go onto a site called detailing World you'll see everything you ever want to know about Nilfisk and detailing cars! it'll blow your mind at what some get upto on there!... Some even polish the bottom of there cars!.. mad if you ask me!!!... But each to there own I say :donatello::drunk:

Thanks for the help everybody - I've had a look at detailing World but I think with what you've told me I'll manage. Might wait until it's a little warmer though as I'm sure I'll end up getting soaked!

Yes - I wear waterproof trousers, jacket and wellies when PWing, though I don't usually use it on the car. And I believe you should not use it on your tyres - supposedly it can damage them.

Nothing worse than having just spent time giving the car a nice clean up than going out and some dirty big lorry runs through a puddle thats not dried out and one side of your motor is as dirty as before you cleaned it.

There is one thing worse. It's when you have washed both cars at the house and then find when drive out the side road you live on that one of the local farmers has decided to transport slurry in an open trailer, leaving a large coating all over the road :disgust:

Thats nice of him to do that!... I remember when I lived in Staffordshire (Right in the sticks) that a farmer :horse: use to do that at least twice a week!... It started to **** me off so I had a quiet word with him, but he was a bit stuck in his ways so to speak! So the Highways commision had a word with him and I never saw him again! Lol... He was just pi55ed off that I had a bigger combine harvester than him! :jawdrop::gun_bandana::kewlpics::naughty::laughing::nerd::oops:

I :g: if my old mate Acetip will have something to say on this?!!!... Now steady on my mate! Keep it clean! :naughty: :lol2: :naughty:

Well, where I live some of the local yokels scrape their knuckles off the ground when they walk, and they are all related to eachother, so if you diss one you diss them all. So in my case I fumed silently and got the pressure washer out.
