07 Hilux Diff Oil Change

Hi Gearheads, I recently changed my diff oil (f + r) using recommended body (75w90 Mobil LS) but now I have clunk noises. They seem to be coming from the rear diff area and the lsd is grabbing on turns and cornering, Anyone had this or similar issue? Odometer 85000 km.

I take it that this "Clunk" noise wasn't there before? Have you sure its the correct grade and put the quantity needed in? The reason why I say this is a mate had his diff oil changed on his Jag and the garage put the wrong grade in! and that developed a noise...

Hi All ,

I fixed the diff problem.

I used the wrong Brand of gear oil.

The dealer here recommends, Castrol . I changed the oil again and used Castrol same specs as the other brand and the noises have disappeared.

Toyota + Castrol = Smooth Driving. :D
