Windshield Washer Nozzles On 97 Camry

hi everyone, im new here and a new car owner, im 16 and have had my licensce for a few months but im finally getting a car and it happens to be a 97 camry le, its a great car and i dont plan on changing much but i am a teen and i have to have the cool stuff, ive got neon windshield washer nozzles, it came with instructions and i understand how to install them but on the backside of the hood of my camry is a kinda of fabric material, maybe a heat shield or something, but anyways, its held on by black caps that i tried pulling on but i dont want to break them, how would i take this cover off, would i just pull on the black caps, or is there a special way of taking them off, it may be a stupid question but its my first car and i dont want to break anything, thanks in advance
