Cheers, just found out its chain driven, and if it's not noisy it should be ok for the NCT (MOT)

The cabin trim is very poor, but mine an 07 reg and later models have improved on this point so i am told.

engine, brakes steering etc all fine.car is very quiet compared to my earlier cars that were diesels, which what you would expect.

Not very keen on some of the positions of controls like the cruise and buttons for information display, also no clock seperate from the display.

my model is smart start and smart entry.i cant open boot independent of unlocking the doors, though some models you can. it also hs whats called optitron gauges i would sooner have normal type fuel gauge and temp gauge,

there is no oil pressure warning light as is normal when you turn on ignition but if you have a oil pressure problems then a warning message appears.well it supposed to what happens if something goes wrong with this warning system, you cant test it out. It maybe a fail safe system.

But there are more pluses than minus to be fair.

Not the best Build Quality car ive owned. but as said later models are supposed to have improved.

All being well,i hope it will be my last car as at my age i will have to hang up the keys in not many years time.

Would i recommend an Auris, well i would have good look at the opposition first.
