Well your Isle of Man Girl has changed her Cooper S for yet another Urbancruiser. Yes 2 Urbancruisers, have I got a sickness!!!! Seriously it was too good a bargain to miss, it,s a 09 1.3vvt petrol demo 3000 miles and they could not sell it , let alone give it away. Crystal silver, no add-ons at all but it looks stunning.

So I.m letting my mum drive it as she,s just sold on her Smart. Yes I know I critised the petrol version but after a weekend going round the IOM I must admit I quite like it, but I still think the diesel version is the best.

One question I would like an answer to is if it,s nearly 3 years old should it have 2 stamps on the service record? even though it was a demo model. I got them to do an oil change on it but I was amazed that it didn,t have a service record. Is this something I should question?

I await your comments ( please be gentle) My Dad thinks I,m MAD but the deals done!!!!!!

Regards Clare

Don't worry about the lunacy, Dear.

Weve got 2 x 4.2's plus an Aygo in the drive. Looks like a branch of our local Toyota dealer.....

If i buy a S/hand motor i always give it a oil and filter change whatever the sevice book says and what ever the seller says says as ''i will give the car a service before you collect the car SIr'' (madam).

Was the vehicle from a main Toyota dealer or a private sale either should be able to give information about service history.

who paid for the oil change you asked for,you or them.if you paid then i was likly done if they paid i doubt it.it would effect their profit.

Was he filter done at the same time if they say yes, then check it out as being nice and shiny one.

car salesmen are born liers.

I have visions of Clare, flying round the IOM with a UC on each foot.

or petrol for the winter to warm up quickly and diesel for the summer to keep you cool.

bang the desk and insist the history book is corrected and brought upto date.

Clare, you'll need shares in Meguiars or whoever soon.

Is IOM rapidly becoming UC world capital?

Is that three now, with your Dad's? Got to be worth a picture of all three.

Are you starting a home for unloved Toyotas and taking in strays? It's a very noble cause, but beware. It's only a short step to feeling sorry for things like Land Rovers :lol::thumbsup:

Dav, thats an old picture they don,t do them in red any more, white like Dave M,s is the colour that replaced it.

Peter, they did a proper oil change Filter and all ( checked underneath- not a pleasent sight me laid under an Urban cruiser)

SHCM, apparently the IOM has the biggest concentration of Urbancruisers in the British Isles ( so the Toyota Salesman told me) so I am not alone!!!!!!

Have given it the Big Kev Body treatment last weekend and it looks even more stunning.
