Im getting a clunk noise from the n/s/f of the car when im turning the steering when stopped

and also sometimes under heavy braking.

Any clues?

Im thinking maybe the spring moving.

Is this common?

Doh! I'll have a look tomorrow if the weather gets better.

Ive got a mate who could weld it for me if thats the problem.
