had my SS3 about 4 years now and love it 2 death

jap inport , nice set of wheels put on it , full RECARO

seats all round looks the BEE,S , 600 watt cd player 12 Speakers

and goes like a bat out of hell , top speed by myself at 148 MPH

will do 135 MPH in 3RD GEAR b4 over kicks in ! cant work out y its so fast

?????? have heard of so inports with 239 BHP this baby must have it ?

Sorry dude, 135mph in 3rd gear? NO WAY! NEVER

The gearing ratio wont allow that, its just impossible. If you honestly did that then your speedo must be WAY out.

Honestly, i have had a GT(SS2/st202) and a GT4 (ST205) and not even the GT4 would do 135mph in 3rd. Realisticlly the highest you can get in 3rd is 110mph but that pushing it and you would have to be entering rev limiter territory. The gearbox on the SS3 is the same as the ss2 and gt4.

Your bhp is approx 200-210bhp, the 239bhp model is the UK GT4 and the imports are 255-260bhp.

Good for you for having an SS-3 but id say your speedo is up the crapper!

By the way are you sure you have an SS3? Looks like a normal ss2 to me. The SS3's have a larger spoiler and GRP A bodykit. What colour is the top of your engine?

Actually i see your car is a 96 model, the ss3's didnt come out until late 98/99 so that means your 99.99% likely to have an ss2. :(

Well me m8 just checked logbook and bill of sell from japan its a SS3 4 sure and when i said it does 135 mph in 3rd thats an auto box and thats only reving at 5500 rpm not in the red , by the way its has full body kit pic not 2 clear but have put another pic from the side in , thx 4 letting me no BHP THX 4 THAT

There is definately something wrong here, because the SS3 was not sold with an Auto Box.

There is one sure way to tell if you have an SS3 and that is the colour of the engine.

What colour is the top of the engine?

Anyway if you do have an Auto SS3 id keep hold of it because its gonna be one of a kind
