Evening all,

There wasnt anything wrong with the original hybrid alloys but i always like to be different if i can, whether its a good thing or bad thing i dont know but i cant help but tinker and change things.

I found these toyota motorsport alloys for sale that needed refurbed so got them powder coated and the tyres changed over and put them on today.

I wasnt always a big fan of really dark alloys but this is an dark anthracite with a heavy metallic silver that really pops in the sun,and being on a white car doesnt look so bad i think anyway, maybe not for eveyone but can always swap back to silver originals for a change now and again.

Looks good and contrasts the white very nicely.

You know there's an illuminated version of the hybrid T for Toyota Badge for front and/or rear. I wonder if it would suit the Auris or more importantly your Auris.

Well I will stress that the ones on the following link are for the gen3 Prius but if you check the sizes they could fit the Auris and I'm sure you'd be the only one in the UK with them.

If you do get them sorted and fitted you have got to show the pictures. On this subject, there are also blue illuminated Prius door sills. Maybe they could be adjusted for Auris use?

Im definately going to look into this as a side project, the only thing im not sure about is the Badge construction,on the link the Badge looks to be in three seperate parts.not sure what its like on the auris,i did buy a genuine hybrid Badge when i had my old yaris and im sure it was a one piece stick on but never thought to try and split it apart, will be checking tommorrow.

thanks phil

Have you thought about lowering your car with new springs? It would look a lot better! H&R and Eibach have both made new springs for Auris HSD.

I think the hybrid is already very slightly lower than the normal auris version, not by much though.

I think it would look better lower but if i have to choose looks over comfort i think i might stay as is,because it is already reasonably firm ride, dont want to make it too harsh.
