Fan Slipping

Hello everyone,

I have a slipping fanbelt and so went to tighten the relevent bolt but... the bolt head is totally burred over! I can't even remove it and replace it with a new one!

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the blighter off?!

i had same prob but my car is vvt-i 1.8 petrol year 2000,,it was down to this part

the damper thing on back was stuck mate stick it in a vice,,to free it,,,

Toolstation sell a nutsplitter kit for £5.56p. That way you can replace the dodgy bolt.
