Just had to tell all you good people... my RAV4 has a brand spanking new engine! And various other important bits. It was burning oil like an old Aga, sipping coolant and blowing out great clouds of smoke in protest if asked to rev above 3000rmp. Mr T agreed that this was a sad state of affairs and kindly replaced the engine. I collected it a week ago, have done 350 miles since, and not a drop of oil has disappeared! Hurray and hallelujah.

Moreover, the new engine is quieter, smoother and noticeably more powerful. I hadn't realised how much the old one had deteriorated until I drove the new one. Fab!

After major disappointment that my beloved RAV4 should develop such a nasty problem, Mr T has restored my confidence with a warranty that is surely quite exceptional.
