Toyota Auris 1.4 Turbodiesel Coilovers

Ok. I found these BC Racing coilovers. What do you think?

BC Racing do excellent quality coilovers - I had them on my last Nissan. Good value too, as they are height & damping adjustable. However, when I contacted them about my Auris, they told me they didn't have any model specific items, just the Avensis model. The problem with that, is that the Auris is a good bit lighter & would require a lighter weight spring for ride compliance. So if you can ask & get a lighter spring fitted to the Avensis items, that might be your answer. I just hope the fitments are the same ! I was quoted £700 - not cheap.

KW also do them but have STUPID prices - £810 for height-only adjustable & a scary £1300 for damping adjustability !!!

Do you have any idea how much they are ? My only experience of Teins was a rock hard ride that spoiled the whole car, but obviously it varies from car to car.

The price for TEIN FLEX is approx. 1400 euros in Finland. Probably cheaper in Europe :)

Prices are crazy, I agree. The cheapest KW set would be around 1000 EUR for mine...

Anyway, isn't a £7-800 coilover set "too much" for a 1.4 D4D car? Could you really take advantage of it?

Basically I like turns and I like lowering my car. Also, I like more coilovers that just using some springs and a sporty shock absorber. Problem is that here in Greece there is nothing except those KW and I was looking something from UK cause I want to avoid non-EU countries because of the customs.

I sent an email to BC at the w/end & a reply came back yesterday. The price for Auris coilovers is the same as last posted at £769 inc VAT, but more for postage. That's a lot of money by the time you've had them fitted & adjusted properly !

I also asked if the front spring could be changed to a 7kg weight to account for the 2.2 D4-D's extra heft. They said that would be a good idea & no probs to change the front springs over before despatch.

So they are available - but they ain't cheap !
