Must be an error, I would have thought.

Orange is certainly not red, to state the blatantly obvious....

Firstly, welcome and good choice of purchase. :)

I think the colour naming on the registration form has to be 'dumbed' down as the DVLA are not the brightest bunch.

Hi, I've just checked my logbook of my burnt orange iQ and it also says red. I wonder what colour is on the logbook of a red one? I haven't actually ever seen one though.

Maybe the DVLA have to proximate it to prime colours and tones

My chilli red IQ has "red" in the logbook, which is why I thought putting "red" into an "orange" car's logbook just isn't right.

OK, leave the "burnt" out, but the fact remains the colour is orange and not red, and should be entered as such.

I believe you are correct Fish. My Scion xB was listed as a "station wagon" on the registration.

Compartmentalised rubbish. These people who work in places like DVLA and, and, can't think of what your's is called now Taz, anyway, these officious twits have a list of 'allowed' terms to use. I am sure one of them must be Orange, so why on earth would they put Red? Bet it was some officious oaf at Mr. T. who notified DVLA the car was red. Maybe, let's give the person the benefit of the doubt here, they are colour blind? They might be.

Robert, it's the DMV here. Department of Motor Vehicles. I like to think of it as people getting paid for doing almost nothing. Glad to say I am a member of the Southern California Auto Club (AAA) and they offer DMV services so I don't have to go anywhere near those hell hole offices.
