Where Do I Start, Service + Mot On A 2005 Vvti Xt5

Nothing unusual

Service 70k - Done straight away :)

MOT - Passed 1st time, no advisories :D

To say the Rav is a 2005 it still amazes me how reliable it is and how little it needs to keep running fault free

Very Happy with Benfield Toyota Wakefield & the service I received from Neil

That is all

There is negativity on here at the moment, but even though its a B&ll ache to keep going back to Toyota, they are sorting things out. The Rav is a brilliant piece of engineering with a cracking engine. I'm 40k into my XTR now and its bloomin brilliant. Going to stretch its legs with a trip to Italy in 6 weeks time.

Sounds like a good journey you got planned there :)

I think there is only one person who seems to have an issue with the Toyota Dealers but knows nothing about them, so best ignored

Jedi you do come out with some garbage. This is one vehicle out of many that have been fixed successfully. The evidence seems to suggest that the dealer might have missed something but you seem happy to slate everyone in sight when you clearly don't have a clue. I take it everything you have ever done has turned out perfect - maybe you could call in the dealer's and give them a few pointers. They probably used much too thin oil or something inane.

Maybe you should buy a VW or a Merc with thick oil and bggr off to plague their forum. x

Dont' lumber Jedi with us on the VAG forums, we have enough negativity on them :mad2::lol:

@ Jedi, I'm guessing you have had some (potentially major issues), I'm not going to search nor do I want to read about it as this post is supposed to be a Happy post :yahoo:

Forums are a fantastic resource and often used for helping people fix problems, rarely does a good word get said, hence the reason for my posting, We've had nothing but Excelent Service from Benfield Wakefield from before we bought the car up (rang up for advise) until now & shall continue to use them despite them not being the closest dealer to where we now live.

In 2 1/2 years of RAV ownership we've had 2 faults, both of which cost nothing to fix, just a bit of time. Normally SWMBO & I look to change cars every 2years but the Rav isn't going anywhere (apart from a change in cirumstances), were both very happy with it & time/money permitting it shall be treated to a full professional detail this year

A :toast: to Benfield Toyota Wakefield and to our Rav

Matthew

Sorry must not say any thing negative about the rav or its click.....err members........

Everything is Rosey, let's just brush it all aside and pretend it never happened, the rav is a great machine and never breaks down. The dealerships are excellent, they never lie, or make mistakes....

I'm so glad I have a Toyota myself :P

My comment was made tounge in cheek, "positive does not compute".

Do you all need telling how great Toyota and the Rav is every single post? Are you all that insecure? :D

@ Matt

Not had a single issue with my rav in 3 years, great machine, but I like to put things across from the opposite side of the fence, the side that's not all smelling of roses, but people don't like that as is negative.....

Wake up people that's life :D

And Sorry for casting a spell of negativity on your topic, that was not my intention one bit......I hope you can fore give me matt the force :P

I think the word you need to look up is "Balance"

in your world, if something goes wrong on a car, then that will happen on EVERY example of that car. If ANYONE has had ANY bad experience from a a Dealer, then ALL Dealers are bad.

But also in your world, if something goes well, it was a one-off; if a Dealer does well, it was a one-off .... well actually, it was not even a one-off, it was impossible and the poster was deluded.

No one is saying a RAV4 is perfect, but on the other hand, no one except you seems to think that they are a rolling disaster.

I think you should sell your RAV4 to someone who has more appreciation of a good product and stick to your bad of ******* Freelander as that is clearly far better (oh, to live in JediLand :D )

Well, I had started to read your posts again, but had enough of the crap you spout so back you go on the ignore list and if anyone else wants to know how enable their crap-filter, let me know.

If ever we have a RAV meet I'd like to sit and have a pint with you Jedi. I just need to understand what is going on with you so I need to look in your little green eyes while I talk to you. The best thing is you won't have to spend a penny while we pass drinks into the cage.

The trouble will be when you turn up face down in the canal, the cops won't have enough room down the nick for all the suspects so I'll have to sit next to you all night and listen to the Toyota good Toyota bad theory.

Jedi,

I have to admit, it sounded like you had suffered from a catastrophic failure in your 1st reply. With not frequenting the forum regularly I mis-read into your comments.

I spend many hours a week on various forums and it always seems to be doom & gloom, complaints about DMF's/turbo's/bike frames/bike components etc etc that I thought it valuble to share my positive experience.

Life, like you say is NOT rosey all the time but in these times of hardship hope can be a valuble thing.

Appology accepted 'May the force be with you' :) star-wars-smiley-5472.gif

I'm glad to hear that you're very happy with your RAV Matthew. I bought mine(4.2 petrol) last November and it is running like clockwork. Sure it's cost me a bit of money already, but it's a great wee car and surprisingly a lot of fun to drive.
