Hi Everyone. i was on here a couple of months ago when my car needed a new exhaust which i got from Tony Banks near Armley, the next thing to do was the anti roll bushes which i knew theyed gone before the end of last year , well they got fixed last week and what a diffrence they make. Well this week its in the garage again for a new clutch and BOTH cv joints. I could feel the clutch slipping a bit last week when i was late for work and a metal rumbbling noise from the drivers front wheel. Anyway cv joints done and clutch , as soon as i drove the car i couldn't belive how light the clutch was, but driving home i could feel vibration through the pedle , if i pressed it a bit the vibration stops, also when driving it sounds as though theres crickets{insects} under the car but press the pedle it stops? HELP PLEASE! :dontgetit: The cars only got 48.000 on the clock ive had it since new, last year it had a new set of disc and pads all round on too! i can see why people change their car now when it gets old!

Hi,look at the clutch cable and from where it exits the bulk head where the clutch peddle is to the release arm and make sure that it is not touching any thig depresed or not depresed transtmiting engine noise throughthe body work or someing else if it is touching hold back with long tye rapswhere possible meaning keeping the cable away from touching any thing other than its ancer points you will need some one to depress the peddle with the engine running to see if the noise goes when moveing the cable around.

Hi Fastjab, Took it in this morning [sat} as it got done on Friday, i was speaking to one of the lads that work in the garage and he said it sounds like a clutch reliase bearing and to give it a week to see if it goes, then book it back in to sort it out if it doesnt go away. I can 't see it getting any better, just p*sses me off that if they test drove it first before they gave it back to me this woudn' t have happened! WHY IS IT THAT NOTHING IS EVER RIGHT WHEN A CAR GOES INTO A GARAGE TO GET FIXED AND NOT LIKE THE DAY IT CAME OUT OF THE FACTORY!

Just try what i said with what you said that you had the workshop fit a new clutch i would have thought they fitted clutch plate pressure plate frust bearing and possibley fly wheel with you saying that you heard metal touching when operating the clutch if the workshop did not carry this work out as i discribed iwould not go ther again if they did just try what i said.
