Hello all

Urgent help needed - RVA4 vvti GX 2003 5 door - Battery completely dead, can't even get the door to open.

If I cn get the bonnet up or get it to unlock somehow then I can get a Battery charger on to it - does anyone know a trick to do this please - need to get mobile urgently, so really relly stuck...

I guess something like this is not one to broadcast, so if you want to PM me instead - just really need help if there is a quick easy trick?

Thanks

Hey Big Kev - the answer WAS no - the black remote key was not opening it for some reason - hence the problem. Now got hold of the grey key out the back of the drawer and that worked - all sorted.

Your answer is the obvious one - but there are a lot of people who do not think about it with all the remotes these days -

!!!

So just followed all the useful advice on getting a new 'proper' sized Battery installed and normal service restored!

Original fit Battery has lasted 9 years - so not bad value - F ukushima FB, the recent cold was the last straw...

Cheers all!

strange as i been there done that and could open the doors with the normal black key any time...

anyway your toyota should have 3 keys (2 black and 1 grey) and a small metal plate with a number on it.

glad you sorted it and 9 years if very long imho (but you do have a petrol not needing that much current to start)
