Tyre Change Time

It is nearly time to change my winter tyres back to my summer tyres, I marked the summer ones so I know where they were on the car but the question I have is should they go back in the same positions or should I swap front for rear and if so should I swap the same side or diagonally? Any thoughts would be much apreciated.

Hi I always swop the tires every 6000 miles the correct way to do it is in the owners manual this is so that I replace all the tires at the same time and will not have different tread patterns fiitted.

Did we have a winter then :)

We didn't get much snow here in Luxembourg but tempertures did fall as low as -14, winter tyres are recomended for below +7, next winter they will become compulsory.

It was only 2 degrees when I first went out this morning, with a heavy frost - but it soon warmed up and I am just off to potter in the garden in the sunshine.

I am tempting fate by swapping back to summer tyres this afternoon. Daytime temps here are in double figures now.
