Toyota say that some temporary condensation build up in headlamps not a malfunction. see page 319 of handbook. is your temporary?

A leak allowing water into the headlap wil cause condensation, but both lamps at the same time is unusual.

Check the rubber gromit where the lamp holder enters the headlight.

Will become common as time goes by.. As the seals will perish letting in water..

Check the foglight bulb is in secure? depends if you live in harsh environment where your driving through puddles

Use the foglights more often i assume the heat of the bulb will dry away condensation...

Both my front lights have condensation in the section that goes along the front wing,i think its because the heat from the bulbs cant dry that portion as well, and the difference in temperature from outside to inside the lense.

Mine does disappear, but only after a good few dry windy days.

All Auris suffer to a degree with condensation in the headlamps. There are replacments available with anti-fog coating on the inside, these however should only be fitted if the condensation is bad and does not clear up after about 10 miins of headlights switched on.

You guys will always get condensation when the car is jetwashed, I wouldn't worry about it.

I have some condensation on sides too. Haven't tried it yet, but some say that silicon bags (those from the shoe boxes) should help if you put them inside the lamp somewhere.

Put your headlights on full beam (away from road users) for a few mins, and the heat should clear them quickly.

Absolutley not! It gets very hot in a headlamp, DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN.

Interesting comments - I have noticed condensation inside a variety of Toyotas I have owned (including Auris) but never worried too much about it and it has never been a problem!
